K, Cool!

Reliable best things in my week:

-whenever I need a good nap and get one

-serving in the temple

-taking care of my youngest kids (this week Eve needed some extra love and I bathed her like when she was little at least twice) and doing fun things with them (we are watching Next in Fashion on Netflix together and we finished watching the last Harry Potter movie.)

-friend time (I got to go on a walk with Angela Farmer and go to lunch with Shelley Beatty and Maren Worley at the Mixx.)

-doing fun things with Alan (a date to Jerusalem Cafe and doing sealings at the temple)

-serving in my calling (this week I conducted my first council meeting as Communications Director and I went to a very cool party at a church in South KC)

-going to church (It was Travis Webster's mission farewell today! And Q came and sat by us. It was her birthday and Patrick Mahomes is her birthday twin.)

-talking to my big kids and occasionally getting fun pictures from them. (Mariah sent me the sweetest picture of Misty! Eliza regularly Face Times me with her kids. Willa sent me pics of the headboard she and Mariah made for her bed in her new place and called me on breaks from her job. Wyatt called me at least twice on walks. I loved it!)

Sparkly fun extra best things this week:

-That party celebrating Pastor Dennis Lester's five year anniversary as pastor at Bethel Family Worship Center. He had some really fun music and everyone welcomed me like family. I'm so glad I invited myself!

-Introducing Alan to The Lehnerdts at the temple. Sister Lehnerdt is my trainer on my shift and she is just a queen. Her husband is a sealer.

-Dropping off food from our neighborhood to the Village Presbyterian food pantry with my neighbor Carrie with the food we collected for the 9/11 National Day of Service.

Eve's best things:
(She said, "Just leave it blank. That's funny.")

Griffin's best things:
Hockey, feeling better than he did last week, sleeping, playing football at recess, eating, talking to Mom and hanging out with Brooke on Saturday. Also hanging out with Eve.

Everyone should plant a patch of zinnias for neighbors to enjoy!

Look how generous our neighbors were!

Carrie with Dennis Cobb, director of the Food Pantry for Village Church

My sweeties!

Men of Faith: Five pastors from different churches across the country. They sing gospel jazz. It's fun.

We told them when you serve as leader of a congregation in our church for five years they release you. In their church you get a chicken dinner and a fancy party!

  3. I can't believe how grown up Eve is looking. I love it that she is still finding small places to fit into. Mariah and Misty are gorgeous! Your gladsongs this week were particularly joyful. I'm so glad I got to talk to you this week too! I feel bad for being so weary all the time and forget what good medicine it is to talk to family.

I'm so glad you got to have contact with all your children! And photos to. Isn't it ground? Your date with Alan sounds lovely, and I'm so glad you did a fun project with Carrie. She's amazing.
