A week ago after church we got in our Tesla and started driving to Texas for Spring break. We stopped to charge overnight in Oklahoma City and kept driving and charging and driving and finally made it to San Antonio, where we have family (Karen and Michael have a winter house there) and fun memories (it has been almost 26 years since we moved there and 19 since we moved away), and we wanted to share all of those with Griffin and Eve.

Trips to San Antonio have historically been trips to a bunch of restaurants we love, but this time Karen said she wanted to cook for us every day we were there, which was amazing! We got a tour of their fun new house, a vegan night of lemon artichoke risotto and collard greens and delicious salad with chocolate desserts, a fun Indian food feast with popsicles for dessert, and an Irish feast for St. Patrick's Day with sugar cookie shamrocks for dessert. Plus all the visiting, which was the best part of all!

We went to Sea World with thousands and thousands of other people.
Then we drove and drove and drove home. The yellow fields and blue sky of Kansas looked like a Ukranian flag to me. I am still praying for strength and courage for Ukraine.
You fit so much into your spring break! Karen is wonderful! I loved the pictures of her and Michael making 70 look so good! Griffin not taking off his coonskin cap was just about the cutest thing ever. The experiential art installment is super fun looking! I need to go back to San Antonio to see it too. It's so crazy that so much time has passed since you lived there. I love it that you keep in touch with your friends from San Antonio. You are a great friend. It's a good example for me. The last two pictures were so artistic. And yes! - to praying for the leaders and people of Ukraine!
ReplyDeleteThe winning picture from this post is it you mostly covered up by the balls in the ball pit. It’s just tremendous that they can change colours and that you’ve got so many great pictures of your family with different colours of plastic balls. That is a museum/experience that I would adore. I’m done talking
