Our two biggest things we did this week at Our House School were humble musical offerings. It felt a little like The Little Drummer Boy who doesn't really have any gifts, but he tries with what he has. Griffin and Eve played their first violin/piano duet for their recital, which they won't be here for, but we recorded it for the virtual version. Duets are really hard (a little less so if you're an IDENTICAL twin, but still.). I am so proud of them for starting and ending together. That was huge.
And we recorded Away in a Manger for our ward virtual Christmas program. The recording was supposed to be of the kids and has a little too much Heather, but again, it's what we got.

| This is actually a slice of perfection. Eve had Girl Scouts on a reasonably warm day, and we invited Ryne to come play with Griff, but the boys were a huge distraction to the girls, so my friend Denise took them home to play in her yard. I sneaked home to write the stake newsletter, and then came back an hour later and retrieved two very, very happy children. |

Most of your "less than perfect" week looked pretty heavenly! What precious musicians you have! I adored the video for the concert. And away in the manger needed just as much Heather as was in it as those cute kids totally forgot the words :)

ReplyDeleteI loved the pics.....as usual! It was funny to me that after a few pics I felt myself actually there...feeling what was happening in your busy, busy lives! You and Alan have a sort of 24 hour life going on.. I did my ��.. trees actually.. I have the tiny one we had at our Salt Lake condo and the tiny one we had at our Henderson home...one in my front room and one in my den where I spend much of my time. .....xo momw
ReplyDeleteI just scrolled through again and have to say that there were too many wonderful pictures to pick a favorite this time. Of course, I especially love the ones with you in them, but you have some gorgeous children too!
ReplyDeleteThe concentration and the interplay of twins for a duet was just thrilling, wasn't it? I also love the dramatic lighting on Eve. Feeding the nurses in ICU is a loving idea. Well done.
