-Frosting on the trees
-Being back on a regular schedule
-Taking a couple of book days to cram in my reading for book club (see review in side bar)
-Going on a walk with my friend Linda
-Eve danced at a high school girls basketball game and we all loved it.
-Seeing friends at Public Affairs Council and book club
-An unseasonably warm middle of a week that ended in a snow storm. Eve called it creamy.
-A date to Blue Koi and the grocery store as the storm was rolling in.
A sad thing this week:
-Josh Birrell, a kid from Willa's primary class growing up, died this week. We are mourning with his family. He had seizure disorders and the sweetest little general conference style testimonies when he was growing up.

Mariah and Mac- On foot! Their car is in the shop hopefully being FINALLY fixed.
Eliza and Evan- Evan had a great job interview in Memphis. Praying for them to hire him.
Willa- Got to hang out with the Bennions in Vernal! Libby's mission farewell was today.
Wyatt- Doing lots of homework and considering college options. HATING later seminary.
Griffin- Still giggling, even though school is continuing. Got a violin and is practicing.
Evie- Got down Willa's ukulele to practice. Funniest 7 year old we know. Told the RS President, my friend Patty Ward, that coming to church every Sunday is just a lot. Deep sigh!

What a great report on your week. So very sorry to hear about Josh Birrell. That is just way too young to die. Hard stuff.
ReplyDeleteSo many cute things from your Evie this week! Did you get a video of her dancing at the basketball game? Those are fun times! So glad that Griffin is still giggling! Yay! Perhaps he is turning a corner...fingers crossed!
How exciting for Evan and Eliza to be considering Memphis! What very big things they are doing right now. I'm so excited for them (and you!!)
What's the deal with later seminary? Is it still early morning, but later or is it later in the day?
Later seminary starts at 6:30 instead of 6am. It is just enough time to NOT come home afterwards and eat breakfast. You have to go straight to school. I don't like it as well either.
ReplyDeleteImpressive photo and winner for the post is AP Wimmer front and center and SMILING in a photo. As with all your family members, everybody in the background is just background, really. How do you guys steal the show each and every time? Runner-up photo of the week: the gap-toothed backpack headdress photo is a close second.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you had a young friend die. That's a jolt of a whole new sort, isn't it? You're a great friend to everyone in the family, of course. Tell them they have good wishes from a random stranger in Nevada.
Book club and public relations are bright spots for you -- aqua aerobics, I'm guessing. It's nice to recharge the batteries with friends.
The picture of the driveway and the bush makes me want to come home! (Or maybe everything makes me want to come home.)

And I noticed how unusual the photo of Dad is too! Usually he's giving a pained smile from the corner, or holding Griff and Eve to make them hold still, or just not in the picture.
