'Tis a Gift

The gifts we have enjoyed most so far:

Mariah: brand new iPhone from her in-laws
Mac: black Kanuk jacket from his parents
Eliza: gift cards from her parents and in-laws. Shopping is FUN!
Evan: basketball shoes from Alan and me
Willa: awesome sneakers from Wyatt
Wyatt: bluetooth headphones from us
Griff: He says a nutcracker, but I've seen him more with Legos and a climbing system.
Evie: Bitty baby from Santa
Me: simple wedding band from Alan
Alan: Duke sweatshirt from me
All of us: the Monsters Inc puzzle and breathing the same air

Sisters sharing lipstick. Do you think they look related?

I have also enjoyed the haircut Mariah gave Wyatt. Same as here but much tidier.

He looks like he is checking his texts, but he is sneaking a nap in.

Willa babysat and presided over Griffin's first lost tooth while we took E and E on our standard temple date. It's a good one. And as a bonus we saw so many people we love from Red Bridge ward!  The note says, "Dear tooth fairy, please take good care of him. He has been brushed good."

I finished reading The Book of Mormon and marking the references to Christ in yellow. My scriptures are just lit up now! I loved it. I feel like I must have been doing it wrong before this because this was so wonderful. I also wrote lists of who Christ is, what he does, and what our responses are to him and wrote down other insights.

And here is a little gift for you, for reading and commenting on my blog. A video of that wrestling match from Christmas day.

  1. The video of the wrestling match was possibly my favorite Christmas gift! Thank you! I'm also interested in knowing what the rules are. I was watching for a view a what is going on in your kitchen, then I watched for people in the background like you and Alan. Also, the actual wrestling was fun to watch :)

Sweet sisters - Willa and Evie. They are such beauties.

Wyatt's curls are so heavenly!! Will got a trim over break too, but just a trim.

The list of favorite gifts was fun to see - and it gives me ideas for future gifts. We should all make this a regular thing...mostly for my benefit.

  4. I loved that video. Someone must have won because they stopped. It's hard to pinpoint who won, though, because they were both smiling. Such great photos in this one. A hard won peace after working sooooo very hard in December. Good job, mama.

  5. The rules of the wrestling are that you grab hands with your index finger pointing out. Your goal is to touch your opponent with that finger without being touched by his.
