Paris of the Plains

Everyone in our whole family was together in Kansas City (Paris of the Plains) this year!  On New Year's Eve we went to the Plaza and saw the lights and ate at The Cheesecake Factory.

On Christmas Day there were matching jammies, presents, hoops and family photos. And some really fun wrestling. And games with the missionaries.

On Boxing Day we went back to town with a stop at Shake Shack (a branding success story from McCall's neck of the woods), St. Luke's (where we picked up Evan from MAHI), and the WWI museum.

  1. I'm having trouble making sense of the feet picture at the end. Obviously, the feet are people you know, but what are all the people standing on? The rough-housing between sons in law was hilarious. Griffin looks intrigued. He's probably learned moves he wants to try on Evie. That will not end well, most likely. You guys look so good and healthy and sooo much fun.

  2. Paige: clockwise from the bottom is me, Eliza, Evan, Wyatt, Willa, and Griffin's arms. We are standing on a clear bridge over a field of poppies at the entrance to the World War I Memorial.

  3. Love the feet picture. I had fun deciding whose feet belonged to who.

On Christmas Day as we were driving, Bill reminded us of how nice it is to have each other during the holidays. It's such a lonely time for so many. Your family is such a nice reminder of just how wonderful it is to have family - and a growing family!! Your sons-in-law are such a delightful addition. Aren't you glad you have them?
