Georgia Keller sent my kids presents. They are thrilled!
Eve likes to get all done up to go out. The makeup Mariah gave her for her birthday has been seen ALL over.
While some of us wrapped presents, some of us taped tissue paper to the table...
Willa gave this cool print she made to her friend Kirby.
Our effort at Christmas crafts. They came apart when we painted them.
Evie found me reading one day and whispered with her face in mine, "I cut my own bangs..." Luckily, she looks cute that way.
Meshugga bagels may have been the best find of the week. Finally! REAL bagels in KC!
Willa making lunch after church. I just thought she was cute.
A Christmas miracle! The first snowfall of the season. It was perfect--enough to make things pretty but not enough to cancel church.
I love it when he falls asleep with me--it's a rare treat. But I'm torn because he REALLY doesn't need naps.
1. A favorite things party hosted by an adorable young (like hardly older than my girls) mom in the ward. I went with three Moleskine journals with pens to give away and came home with a small cast iron skillet, a vial of peppermint oil and a 5 year journal--and an evening to relax and visit and smile with friends. It was truly lovely.
2. A date with Bishop Wimmer! He got done with work early, so we went to a late matinee show of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and then to dinner at the Mixx. Both were wonderful. Afterwards we went to a member's house who has an even busier schedule than the bishop for one final tithing settlement. I got to visit with their daughter who is pregnant with twins while Alan visited with the coach of the Kansas City Chiefs and his wife.
A favorite things party is a wonderful idea. Tell your friend want to do the same thing when I move.
ReplyDeleteWe also had a wonderful time at a Star Wars matinee.
Ah, so many things seem familiar with your little people! I am glad Evie's cut was less significant than what happened at our house. She does look cute with bangs. Willa is talented and cute. I like Wyatt in the background too.
ReplyDeleteThe party and date sound delightful. Dates are always good!
We took our three oldest to see Star Wars today. We liked it and it has sparked some good conversations.
Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas!
