-Wyatt went with me to a choral concert that was a benefit for Ronald McDonald House. One of his friends was singing, and his mom (my friend) is CEO of Ronald McDonald House. And it was in a really cool Episcopal cathedral, and it was beautiful. So worth ditching the last hour of church for this--even though I have been loving going to RS again. It seemed like a lovely and fitting way to commune with God.
-Our sacrament meeting lineup seemed kind of sketchy on paper, but it turned out being kind of amazing. A long-time friend gave an unusually brave and honest talk about teaching her kids, my former visiting teacher gave a talk on faith from an armchair below the podium, and a man I hear little from gave an insightful talk about having faith and hope in these perilous and bewildering times. All timely and exceedingly relevant.
-We already celebrated Valentine's Day. At least Alan and I did. We went to a really great restaurant near our home and ate amazing food together and then went to check out his new office space at Med Plaza II. They made the doctor's offices a lot smaller and put them all together and let the people who actually use offices most of the day have better offices with more windows. And Alan still ended up with a window, which his plants will love.

I've never heard about a McDonald's houseconcert but it sounds lovely! Your blessings are sweet and tender. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt would be fun to see Alan's new office. And plants.
ReplyDeleteRonald McDonald house is a place for families to stay while their children are in the hospital, Mom. So parents can stay close to their children. It's very worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteWhat great blessings. Makes me start to count mine too. Thank you for that.
I'm so glad Wyatt went to the concert with you. He's good company, isn't he? Also, the sacrament meeting report was refreshing.
