Cold is the New Warm

I think Griffin told us "cold is the new warm" when I asked him if he wanted his hot dog warmed up this weekend.  It is fitting, because we spent a very chilly MLK weekend in Utah.  Mostly it was chilly because the new heater in our condo was blowing COLD air on us and didn't get fixed until Monday afternoon.  But also, we went skiing.  It was definitely more fun than cold at Brighton, though.  Here are some highlight photos:

Dinner at Los Hermanos with our crowd plus Ellen, Colton (Ellen's beau) and the adorable Maggie Marchant.

We like Maggie a lot.

And Ellen too.

We also ate dinner at Dick and Kathy's house and had Britt's kids up to SLC to swim.

The mermaid tail you can see splashing in the very back belongs to Emery.
And Mom Wimmer came down to be with us!  We were so lucky!

I love how she watches her great grandchildren.  They adore her.
We also had a family dinner including McCall, Evan and Maggie again on Monday night for FHE.

I've heard you can tell he is happy if he is squinting.  Looks like we did good.

New fluffy headphones for Eve on the way home!
Other highlights we did NOT get pictures of were going to church with some Mormon celebs (Bonnie Oscarson and Patricia Holland) and having Keith Larsen recognize me and Willa walking down the street in SLC with our hoods on.  All in all, it was a good trip even though we were trying the new cold style out.

  2. So much fun!! I'm glad you pointed the mermaid tail out because I totally would have missed it. Do they work and are they fun?

Looks like the weekend was a huge success (other than cold being the new hot!) I'm especially happy to see Mariah looking like she doesn't have a broken nose (at least you can't tell!) and smiling. This condo in SLC was a fun idea. Maybe I should get one for ME (to quote someone I love!)

  3. What happened to Mariah's nose? No details?

You really know how to make a crowd of people have a great time, don't you? Awesome.

Heather, I loved this post more than other ones because they brought back warm memories of the time I was there. I thankedKeith again as I know I wouldn't have come if he hadn't been able to take me...and I didn't even mind the cold heater! I had a warm coat xo momw
