It was hard to remember what exactly kept us busy this week. It didn't seem that remarkable.
This week we spent a lot of time playing, as always...
| I can't remember exactly what they are playing, but I do remember Griff liking her squishy face. |
| So inventive, this one. Lip extensions and light sabers. Hard to talk with, but lots of fun. |
A lot of time working...we had 5 yards of mulch delivered and spread by us and some hired helpers in preparation for my friend Kari's wedding, which will take place in our yard on May 28. She asked Griff to be the "ring bear" and Eve to be the flower girl to inject some cuteness....and unpredictability... to the ceremony. The worst part of the mulching was power weeding for several hours. (Hurry! There's someone coming behind you to dump mulch right there!) The best part of the mulching was finding Mama Duck quietly nesting in our bushes and holding very still instead of fleeing when she was discovered. (Hooray for baby ducks!) We also found a nest full of bluejay babies that squawked whenever the branch of their bush moved.
And a lot of time bleaching Willa's hair. This is what we got after a steep learning curve with three bleaches and one dose of toner.
Hilarious! I love it. I would have stayed at the Sabbath surprise and given my friends love, just as you did.

That's great! Those kinds of surprises are the spice of life. Cute little painted faces. My kids never wanted to do that, so it's really fun for me to see.
ReplyDeleteSo much to respond to. Lip extenders are awesome. The new hair color is totally shocking, but I love the 3rd photo with her new look. Wyatt is studly. Evie's squishy face made me grin -- almost every face she makes does that, though. Good going on the yard work. You all are a great team.
ReplyDeleteLol dying!!!! Love it! You have to stay for sure. The Lord knows your true intentions. 😉
