A Hearty Hello!

We just got back from a bang up trip to Utah.  We really tried to do it all.  Alpine first, then Logan.

Favorites from Alpine:

-Cafe Rio
-Sunday evening walk with Grandpa Fred
-Seeing Laura Western Turner and her adorable kids
-Three picnics- sandwiches at Creekside park, Jimmy Johns at Pioneer park, and waffles on the driveway.
-Church together!
-Mom/daughter manicures
-An early morning march up Preston drive and the mountain with Alan
-Just how gorgeous that place is!

Griff, Eve and Grandma at Cafe Rio.  This is where we saw Paul, Dave and Josh Davis too!

Evie loving the splash pad at Creekside Park

My little boy!  And look at that backdrop.  It's real!

No towels?  Just lose the wet suits!

The moon, Jupiter and Venus on a perfect Alpine night.

Me and the sources of any awesome I got. Sorry, it's not an awesome picture.

Favorites from Logan:

-seeing Jurassic World with my two W kids
-hanging out (especially swimming and seeing Inside Out) with Karen and Mom W before the reunion
-the reunion!  The dinner, play and picnic were really fun!  And I really love all of those people.
-hiking in Logan canyon with four little kids born in 2012, a baby, Britt and Amy.  Other people came, but that's who I ended up hiking with.
-Jordan's homecoming.  My favorite idea:  It is a great blessing to bring people closer to Jesus Christ because you get to come too.
-hanging out with the Larsens.  They do SO much!  It was fun to be along for part of their ride.  The luncheon for Jordan's homecoming was spectacular: truly Pinterest worthy.

Beanie brushing.  It's the best!

  1. A very heartwarming post! I especially savored each picture of the Wimmer reunion. So much good fun. I felt the warmth and love even from this distance.

  2. What a snappy green dress you have. Love it. Griffin's "Home of the Brave" shirt while he's certainly not feeling anything patriotic cracked me up. Willa's beautiful. Eve too. Alan does all these stunts that make everyone else sheepish. Cool.

  3. Oh, and Wyatt is quietly studly as always. Tell him I noticed.

Heather, what a fun trip down "reunion lane!" I wasn't at Alpine with you but the pics made me feel like I was :) I have been busy as can be since all of you left. Monday was James B Day and we went to Texas Roadhouse for supper and the movie "The Cokeville Miracle" really good, then on Tuesday we had a picnic at the park watching Kobe and Kort play baseball game then to the church for James setting apart as an Elder...THEN dinner at his choice of where to eat (just us adults) then when they brought me home, Angi, Jord and Jamer picked all my cherries for me! AND IT IS HOTTER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE!! I BELIEVE IN SUMMER WEATHER BUT THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS!!!! I hope I am smart enough to remember how hot it has been when it is sooooooo cold this winter :) Thank you and my little boy and you middles for all the work you put in making our Reunion fabulous.

  5. How have I not commented on this yet? All your family pictures always make me smile. Love them all so much. Aren't little swimming-suits on little bodies the best? I sigh with every size bigger I have to get for my kids.

Love your family and all your fun business!
