I don't know about you, but in my perfect world, I would get to hang out with my sisters A LOT more. This week, I kept getting better from my cold and I kept getting to hang out with one of my favorite sisters ever, PAIGE!!! This is because (many thanks to John Ladd) she used her Christmas present of a trip to come to Kansas City! Booyah!
I wanted to have a picture from every day she was here. The first night, after just getting here and grocery shopping and having a tour of the new stuff at my house, she forbade putting our heads in it because we looked haggard. I put our feet in it instead.
Wednesday was temple day. Isn't she pretty? I look a mite too concerned about pushing that button. She also taught me to make ham hocks and lima beans with cornbread for dinner. It is pretty awesome to have that easy of a gluten-free, dairy-free option in my repertoire now.
Thursday we went to Liberty Jail and the visitor's center in Independence. (Eve was busy destroying a diorama.)
Friday we took Eve and Griff swimming, and then Alan and I took Paige on our date to eat Salvadorean food and see the movie Still Alice.
Saturday we took her to clean the church, went on a picnic at Swope Park, ate at Joe's Kansas City BBQ, and played a game with her after the littles were in bed.
Sunday we went to church and enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside while she checked in with Greg.
All of us loved having her here! I told Paige I'd just like to keep her here. But I know she wouldn't thrive well in captivity--or without John. But we did love every single second!

Oh, oh, me too, me too! That looks like so much fun. Is it my turn to come see you next?
ReplyDeleteYou make a fun week! I love how Moses posed pretty for the last photo. He's adorable. Not quite as adorable as the people he lives with, of course. Still, I like him. Thanks letting me savor all those moments with your tiny ones. They're a treat.
ReplyDeleteYes Kirsta!!! I am poised ready to pencil you into my calendar. When is good for you?
ReplyDeleteIt was as much fun as I dreamed. What a great great great week!!! Praise be to John, and whatever scheduling happened that this could happen!
