This weekend we had Amanda and Sam staying with us. I met her online because we had babies at the same time, and she has become a friend. And she is listening to the missionaries, reading the Book of Mormon, starting to pray, and coming to church every week. It feels like watching a miracle--especially because she has been humbled so hard in the last year. She has lost almost everything except her keen intelligence and great sense of fun. Oh, and luckily she has a car so she can get here!
It isn't particularly easy or convenient for our family, but it is definitely a blessing to have her around and to be a part of her transition, and to help where we can. Just having her by me in church strengthens my faith. The spirit is so strong when she is there.
How blessed you are to have found and been enriched by Amanda and her Sam. And your hyper, loveable, little ones!
