Lakeside Life

We got back yesterday from our second annual vacation to Lake of the Ozarks.  This year we invited Mariah and Eliza's friend Evan and our whole family's friends, the Bennions, to come with us.  This trip is a lot of work to plan and get off the ground, but it is so relaxing, fun and beautiful that every time we go we seriously consider looking into real estate on the lake.  Mostly we just swam, floated in the lake, played games, hung out with friends, and tried to keep our little ones from falling off the back porch drop off.  We also rented a wave runner for a day and had the good fortune of overlapping a small part of our time with our friends Marsh and Angie, who took us on a boat tour of the north part of the lake.

The Bennion kids were GREAT at playing with our babies!

I do regret not getting a picture of Willa on the wave runner.  She was the one who enjoyed it the most.

Our whole group, minus Heidi, Liberty and Kacee, who left a little before us. The extra baby is Lucy, Marsh and Angie's little one who is just a month older than our little ones.

  1. This looks wonderful. The pictures tell us so. Those smallest 2 are growing like weeds. (Mr. Hugs)

  3. What a great way to relax. A little advice I got from Uncle Hal. Once upon a time they enjoyed a place so much that they invested in a cabin. He said that ended the fun. From that time until they sold out, they spent what little time they had fixing, cleaning, and repairing instead of relaxing and playing. It's something to consider, huh?

  4. Awesome vacation. You don't show quite enough photos of my sister. That's ok. I like everyone else.
