Baby update. 13 months.

Eve Wimmer tells "stories" and zombie walks all over the house now.  She still loves dancing and has even more fun moves now--my favorites are her almost jump and when she puts one hand up and swings her bootie around.  She is very loving and gives hugs and loves to people, books and toys.  When I tell her to be gentle to me she pats my face with both of her tiny hands and makes cooing sounds at me.  Anything she likes is a baby.  Dogs are babies.  Dolls are babies.  Sometimes her sisters are babies.  She lights up around Mariah and Eliza--they are definite favorites.  The animal sounds she makes are snake, elephant, dog, monkey, and sometimes sheep.  I also love it that she is a cuddler.  Only two out of my six are.

Griff Wimmer's favorite thing is vacuuming.  He walks over to the hall closet where we keep the vacuum and knocks on it expectantly several times a day as he asks me, "Mom?  Ba-ba?"  He seems to have fewer actual words than Eve, but he is an excellent communicator just with his cute expressions, grunts, clicks and smiles.  And yesterday when we left the pantry unlocked he toddled over to me with some applesauce and handed it to me saying, "Mom.  Apple."  Of course, he got some.  He is so pleased when we finally get it right.  He also loves it when we respond to his nearly constant requests to pick him up and show him things up high--especially what is behind cabinet doors.  It seems like he is trying to memorize this information for future reference.

And Christmas?  They were very interested in EVERYONE'S presents.  They sort of understood unwrapping by the end.  Their favorite things were the giant teddy bear Willa gave to Eve and undecorating the Christmas tree.

Heather, what a fun look into the lives of the babies :) Your word pictures are so good I can almost see the things happening! Because time is going by so fast in everything we do, it seems like their growing up is so much faster than when their parents were babies. It will so fun to see them (and the rest of you!) in just a few days....I can hardly wait. We are hoping that weather doesn't cause probs in everyone being able to not only get there but get around while there!! xo momw
