Hey Mama!
Mariah hasn't approved this, but I don't care because she ditched me again and ran off somewhere with McCall.... Here's the blog post!
Love Eliza Wimmer, Mom's Favorite Daughter
BYU has been excellent to us for the last two months! We haven’t taken very many photos of all our adventuring, but here are a few to illustrate the fun we’ve had so far!
Mariah and I also work at the Cannon Center. She puts food out, and I wash giant dishes with a power hose. It’s not that fun, but it could probably be worse! Unfortunately, we don’t have any photos of me on the job…
Last night, we spontaneously decided to hike the Y at midnight, which turned out to be really fun, but also a pretty bad decision as far as sleeping and waking up for class goes. We decided to make it a major photo event since we usually forget to take any photos. From the top to the bottom: the girls posing with McCall, a whole-group selfie, regular pose with the girls and Evan, Mariah and McCall’s modeling pose, Ellen and Eliza’s sassy sorority pose, jumping shot with the girls and Evan. Needless to say, we had a great time!

Posed after a late-night run to Del Taco within the first week or two of classes. From left to right: Nathan, a strange but nice boy who is friends with some of our friends; Ellen, my home girl; Eliza; Zachary, friend who was in primary with us in Texas. Photo credit goes to one of Zachary and Nathan’s roommates.
Last Saturday night, we went disco skating with the usual suspects (Mariah, Ellen, Eliza, McCall, Evan, Tanner). The boys aren’t pictured here, but it’s okay because I think we look sassy enough to make up for it. Spandex and neon are a must for disco skating!

One night, we decided to hike Squaw Peak at about 10:00 or 11:00. It was really cold, so we didn’t actually make it all the way up, but we made it most of the way there and had a beautiful view! It’s not very visible in the picture. From left to right: Ellen, Mariah, Eliza, and Hannah (one of Mariah’s roommates). Photo credit goes to McCall, Evan, or Tanner (friends who hiked with us who didn’t make it into the picture).

One of our favorite things to do is enjoy the social aspect
of sporting events! We also cheer for BYU and sometimes see important plays
during the games. From left to right in this photo are Emily (one of my
roommates), Eliza, Ellen and Mariah. We are all wearing our BYU football
t-shirts and making sort of strange faces.
On the weekend of the Utah State v BYU game, Mariah, Ellen, and Allison (another one of my roommates) drove up to Logan to see the game in person. I opted to go see an Imagine Dragons concert in Salt Lake with Evan for his sister’s birthday. You may notice a questionable photo-bomber in the background of the photo from the concert. Both of us had an excellent time, and have no regrets!

What a fun post! Love to hear about the great BYU adventures.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see BYU pictures. It's especially gratifying to finally find out who is really mom's favorite daughter.
ReplyDeleteHeather, what a fun look into what life is like with the girlies! I feel tired just reading about it! If I kept them straight, the boy without the hooded sweatshirt is Evan that Eliza went to the concert with (so just Mariah came to Logan for the BYU/USU game??) reason they cancelled the sleepover! I loved hearing that they are having fun along with their schooling. One lack for me...seeing a pic of Eliza in her "dishwashing clothes at work".... :) She should arrange to have someone take it so she will always remember it with a smile.
ReplyDeleteThese chicks are awesome. If they had been my roommates, I would have had much more fun -- and a lot less sleep, probably.
