My kids were sort of amazed when I told them that my sister actually owns the color yellow. When we were young, no one else was allowed to have the yellow one of anything, or like the yellow one best, or have yellow as their favorite color because it was Paige's personal color. As an adult, she has become so much more shareful. She even invited us all to wear something yellow for her birthday. We took full advantage. And I loved noticing everything yellow as I drove to church this morning and thinking of her. So that runner with a Livestrong shirt on, the yellow car in the parking lot, and even the yellow signs and the yellow light at the corner were all tributes to my sister on this beautiful sunny day here in Kansas. Happy bithday, Paige O! You're forty one-der-ful!
I would do a separate post in blue for my niece who also has a birthday today, but I'm exhausted. Azya Dawn, just know that there are 6 pairs of blue eyes (and two pairs of green ones) who love you. I hope your day was wonderful too. Hugs and kisses from your Auntie Heather.

Overachievers, all. You Wimmers are rockin' that yellow. Thanks to all my adorable nieces and nephews. Tell Al he's totally fun. Plus, you, my darling, are fun personified.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it grand to celebrate Paige Sunday May 26th? We loved having permission to do yellow too!
