24. All puffed up

For those of you worrying, you can probably stop.  I am (mostly) fine.  Just really swollen.  (I gained 12 pounds in the last 2 weeks.)  The doctor didn't call me abut my labs, and they said no news is good news.  It just freaked me out a little bit when they started to get all cautious about me, and I did deliver M and E at 35 and a half weeks after gaining 20 pounds in the last 3 weeks.  I hit 35 weeks tomorrow with these babies.  I have had a goal of making it to 38 weeks because I want these babies to come out knowing how to eat and regulate their temperatures.  But I am starting to second guess that a little because I'm starting to feel about like I did right before I had M and E.  Please pray for me that my body can handle keeping these guys in longer and that my swelling will go down.

Alan was looking at me yesterday and decided I look really tall.  Like maybe I am swelling into the spaces between my vertebral discs.  He said I am definitely taller than my mom now too--we've been vying over "tallest" for years.  So maybe there is some good to all this puffiness.  Maybe I've puffed up as well as out.  We figured you could get a good inch or more that way, and I don't mind being taller.  That part, if it's true, should be making me more comfortable, not less.

  4. Heather, I am so glad that your "doctors" are satisfied with what is happening...and I think that being pg with twins is not the best way to grow taller....especially for boys!!
I am so glad for each day that the babies stay in their warm home and will continue with the prayers going out from this part of the country.  xo  momw

  5. I think of your tightly puffed feet and ankles and send tugs of love, prayers of fortitude, and all the healing I can muster.
