LaX-ing it up

This spring has been dominated by learning a new sport: lacrosse. Mariah told us it has Native American origins, and she knows it much better than we do since she and Eliza are both playing on the not-yet-official high school team in its inaugural year. (We're still trying to figure out the rules!)

Last weekend we went with friends to a tournament in Omaha, where Eliza surprised us all by scoring at the end of a near shut-out in our favor. The best part has been hanging out with friends though. Freshmen girls just can't get enough of that.

We were glad to see the skirt uniforms and LONG sticks. I had no idea they were that long. DARLING girls and buddies.

  4. We love lacrosse at our house! Mitch has played one season, and Jake has played for the past 3 to 4 years . . . its all a blur, but its taken me until now to really get the game. Gotta love all the action. So fun to catch up on your life.
