Tooth fall x2

Willa lost her chipmunk teeth this week. The first fell out as she was eating in the Atlanta airport, and it never made it home from our cruise. The second came out after a good knock on Wyatt's head after tithing settlement Sunday night. It hurt both of them a little, but they both ended up smiling because it did Willa such a great favor. Mariah and Eliza had a heyday explaining just how tooth fairies, and Easter bunnies, and Santa Claus work on the way home. Alan and I couldn't help giggling as we gained all sorts of new knowledge about magical creatures as it was fabricated in the back of our van. For instance, did you know that:

-The tooth fairy in Texas was much smarter and fancier than the Michigan tooth fairy (who, you've already learned, cannot be counted upon for much at all).
-The tooth fairy in Texas was sparkly and the Michigan one is either not sparkly, or much less sparkly. It sounds like she's the shabby Midwest version of her glitzy Texan cousin.
-Tooth fairies live in your yard.
-Tooth fairies won't take unwrapped teeth or teeth that have been touched too much by human hands.
-There are two kinds of Easter bunnies, the real one, and all of the fake ones. No one ever sees the real one, but the fake kind are seen quite often.
-Santa Claus transforms into a tiny particle for his travels in and out of chimneys.
-However, if you don't have a chimney, he knocks on your door.
-However, parents are the only ones allowed to answer.
-If, perchance, a child answers Santa's knock OR decides not to believe in Santa, the child will receive no presents.

The facts they presented went on and on, all the way home. After all this indoctrination, Mariah and Eliza helped Willa build the fanciest, sparkliest, most obvious shrine to date for her tooth, complete with a firm note of explanation about the tooth that got lost on our trip. They even left her some sparkles, maybe hoping some would stick.
